Volunteerism Awards
To recognize volunteer contributions to our skating community, the awards listed below are provided at the end of each membership year.*
Imogen Harris Award for Volunteerism
Awarded to the skater with the most volunteer hours at our club's Sun Valley Summer Championships. This award was created in 2018 in honor of Imogen Harris who volunteered 25 hours at the competition. $175 award.
Becca Hemingway Award for Volunteerism
Awarded to a parent volunteer who is a not board member. This new award is named in memory of Becca Hemingway, former club president and force behind past The Battle of the Blades benefit events. Becca exhibited grace, dedication and leadership as a parent of two skaters.
*Note that awards granted and amounts distributed may vary from year to year. Typically, one award per category is provided. The Board of Directors nominates and selects recipients of the Volunteerism Awards.
